Checking water quality as part of the school cirriculum? We can do this - particularly after the rain events that happened in January 2011.
Learning about the history of this area? Matthew Flinders? Leiutenant James Cook? (Yes, he was only a Leiutenant when he found us - not a Captain!) We can do this.
Looking at the vast array of wildlife and the food webs & groups? We can do this too!
We offer smooth-water charters for school groups of a 1.5 or 2 hour cruise and provide a simple worksheet for teachers to copy and give to their students prior to the cruise if you wish.
Commentary given throughout the cruise then covers these questions on the student's worksheet. This can be modified to suit your curriculum - just let us know.
COST FOR A 1.5 HOUR CRUISE IS $18.00 PER PERSON (includes GST) with an invoice being able to be provided to the school for payment. Minimum number required is 25 paying passengers.
COST FOR A 2 HOUR CRUISE IS $22.00PER PERSON (includes GST). Minimum number required is 25 paying passengers.
If you wanted to stop off at a sandbank or one of the intertidal feeding banks, this is possible also. This would need to be timed for a low tide and required flexibility. These may incurr and extra charge due to Marine Park access fees.
THESE CRUISES ARE KEPT PURELY FOR THE SCHOOL GROUP AND NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
